iPad Mini 3 Release Date, Rumors: Expectations vs Possibilities, New Apple Device Expected October 2014
Apple Inc. currently faces a busy year now that four of its most anticipated products are set for releases towards the end of the year. CEO Tim Cook first introduced iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display in an event last year that took place in San Francisco. On October 2014, Apple will be releasing iPad Mini 3, which according to experts, could be manufactured in small quantities only.
As far as iPad Mini 2 is concerned, according to website Tech Radar, Apple put up a fairly competitive device even with the absence of a Touch ID sensor and with its smaller internal drive capacity of 16 GB making it relatively more expensive against competing brands. KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the upcoming iPad Mini 3 will probably mimic the same features with the addition of a Retina display.
Based on related web leaks, Apple is working on incorporating the Touch ID sensor on the latest iPad Mini to make it more durable than the iPhone 5 version. It is also notable that the third generation of iPad Mini will be 30 percent slimmer than its predecessor, says a report from a Chinese website Mag.Udn.com. It also boasts a 1536 x 2048 resolution screen and is expected to run on iOS 8.
In all likelihood the iPad Mini 3 will be upgraded to 32 GB internal storage now that GarageBand and iMovie are going for free services. Unfortunately, like any other Apple device, it does not come with an expansion mini SD card.
With Apple's mission to provide more affordable products to consumers, experts say that iPad Mini 3 is more likely to be sold at a relatively lower price than the iPhone series.
