iPad Mini 2 Release Date 2014: Rumors Say New iPad Mini Won't Have Retina Display / Low Cost iPad Mini 2 in 2013?
Contrary to previous reports, new rumors have surfaced regarding the Apple iPad Mini 2. Apparently the new iPad mini will not come with Apple's patented Retina display. Or at least not this year.
Rumors of Retina display for the iPad Mini 2 have flooded the Internet all year. Many reports indicated the iPad Mini 2 would be released sometime fall 2013. According to Taiwan's Economic Daily News, due to Retina display shortages, Apple may have to push back the iPad Mini 2 release until 2014.
Does that mean Apple will push back the release date. Or does it mean Apple will still release non-Retina display iPad Mini 2 in fall as previously expected.
Just a word of wisdom. Don't believe everything you hear; especially when it has to do with Apple rumors. Apple experts go back and forth every single day about alleged iPad Mini 2 features and specs.
June reports indicated Apple would deliver a low end version of the iPad Mini 2. The cheap version would run buyers about $230-250. Following Samsung's lead, Apple is trying to cut its share of the low-cost market, delivering less advanced versions of their flagship devices.
As for the up to date iPad Mini 2, many still believe it'll come with a Retina display along with a better processor [Apple chip] and maybe even a camera. Why they put rear-facing cameras on tablet is a mystery to me but we'll see!
Stay tuned for all things iPad Mini 2.
