iPad Mini 2 Price Set at Just $225-250? Release Date Still to be Announced by Apple

Apple fans awaiting the new iPad Mini 2 could have some great news coming their way. There has not been too much talk about the price of the new iPad Mini but reports have surfaced.

Citi Research analysis is claiming that Apple could drastically cut the price of the new iPad mini as much as $100.

The current iPad Mini is selling for around $329 currently and Apple could sell the new iPad Mini 2 for around $225-250.

Apple is feeling the need to compete better with Android as their tablets at more affordable prices have been gaining momentum on Apple products.

The new iPad Mini 2 will be coming out with retina display and a much improved camera and picture/screen quality.

Apple's WWDC is coming up, but there is not expected to be an official release date announced as of yet for the new iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 or iPhone 5S.

Apple's sales are projecting to take a dip as consumers are waiting for the new products rather than spend money on the current generation products.

The iPad Mini is carving out a great niche in the market that Apple reps are even surprised about. This is probably why the specs on the first generation iPad Mini were not great, because they just wanted to test it out.

I was skeptical that people would want a device smaller than an iPad, but even though it is called a "mini" it is still a great size and feels good in the hands.

So the iPad Mini 2 with retina display and better specs would be expected now to be a great seller the second time around.
