iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 Release Date, Specs Rumors Review: What Features and Changes Will Be made to New Apple Devices?
The latest tech rumors suggest that Apple is busy with two brand new models and that the expected scheduled release date for them will be Fall 2014.
One of the devices is a third generation iPad mini or iPad mini 3, and the other is the brand new version of the iPad Air that is now dubbed iPad Air 2.
While nothing is confirmed as of yet, a comparison between the two devices reveals some interesting similarities and differences. Concerning the iPad, no major changes will be made to the design of the device, it will pretty much look like the previous model. However, the iPad Air 2 will be thinner than the iPad Air by about one millimeter.
Beyond that, the volume buttons on the right side of the gadget have been elongated just a bit, and are thinner and recessed into the device. Also, the iPad Air 2 will not have a physical button on the side that muted and locks orientation.
Additionally, reliable sources suggest that the iPad Air 2 will have the Touch ID fingerprint technology. The 9.7 inch display will be retained in iPad Air 2.
Speculation suggests that both iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 will carry a revamped A8 processor and a M8 co-processor. Also, both the devices will surely feature the iOS 8.
On the other hand, the iPad mini 3 does not have many rumors surrounding the changes coming with the new device. However, it's said to be designed with Touch ID fingerprint technology, and retain its 7.9 retina display. Fans of the device are looking forward to news about upgraded processors or cameras set to be featured when the gadget releases.
