iPad Air 2 Cases: Photo Leaked Before Release Date. Rumors Claim Specs & New Features Will Include Fingerprint Sensor
Recently, an image has leaked online of an alleged iPad Air 2, which showcases the upcoming device with an updated casing and new form factor.
The photo in question is rumored to have stemmed from a Chinese manufacturer. The image shows some design changes to the overall style of the iPad Air that fans and users of the first device in the tablet line have grown accustomed to.
There appears to be a semi-circle on the home button, which hints that a possible fingerprint sensor will be a feature of the highly anticipated tablet. Beyond that, rumors have been piling up about the other possible features and specs that the new iPad Air 2 will have.
While there seems to be some slight changes to the style of the tablet its alleged leaked photo, many feel that it won't be too different than it's original version, the regular iPad Air. Aesthetics aside, the specs of the device have also been rumored for some upgrades.
Firstly, many believe that the 5 MP rear camera on the iPad Air will be boosted to 8 MP for the upcoming version in the Apple tablet line. Also, rumors say the front camera will be supplemented from 1.2 MP to 1.5 MP. Additionally, the iPad Air 2 is speculated to have an A8 processor chip which would make the device much faster than the original model.
As it stands, there is no official release date for the Apple iPad Air 2, and the image that has leaked online has not yet been confirmed to be legitimate. However, rumors claim that the new Apple tablet will be launched sometime in October of this year.
