iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 update!
Fans hoping to get there hands on the new Apple iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2, may be bummed to know the release dates for both devices are being pushed back a little farther than expected.
As previous iPad models were once reportedly "shrinking" from retail shelves across retail stores across the U.S., many took that as a sign the new tablets would be released soon. News that retailers are restocking their inventory with current iPad models points to a later than sooner release date. If businesses continue to restock their inventory with the current iPad 4 and iPad Mini, it means both devices are still in production, leading many to believe the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 won't be released until at least after the summer [possible September launch date?].
Rumors surrounding the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 promise the new devices will be well worth the wait. Some specs expected for the iPad Mini 2 are a new dual core A7 processor, a 7.9-inch screen with Retina Display, and a 5 to 8-megapixel camera. The iPad Mini 2 specs are also expected to extend battery life up to 10 hours.
In the post-Steve Jobs era, the iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 could both feature a stylus, similar to the Samsung S-Pen. Though Steve Jobs would never have allowed the tool to be used with iOS, Apple recently purchased a patent that would allow their multi-touch screens to feature handwriting capabilities, which can only be performed by a tool similar to a stylus.
Wireless charging has been a part of the Apple rumor cycle, but with recent patent purchases, this could actually be the year! Apple is also experimenting with Sharp IGZIO technology for the display, to help make the iPad 5 and iPad Mini both thinner and lighter.
