iOS 8 Release Date Rumors: Apple Introduces New Homekit & Health App
Apple will be releasing iOS8 this Fall and the new operating system will feature new applications that will make life more convenient for users.
According to Apple, the iOS 8 will be similar in design to their previously released iOS 7, but with more features and a system upgrade that will be more user-friendly.
The official release date of the iOS 8 has not been confirmed yet, but Tech Radar reports that it will launch two months from now.
Health App is only one of the many new features of the iOS 8. This app will allow the users to have a health and fitness guide all on one gadget.
The app keeps track of calories burned, how many hours of sleep someone gets, nutrition details, and much more.
iPhone 5s, can calculate steps taken and distance traveled, while iPhone 6 has air pressure sensors and a built-in barometer. A person's caffeine intake can also be tracked.
Apple also introduced a new app called "Homekit." This app will make everything more convenient as it allows the user to control devices without exerting too much effort.
A simple voice command to Siri can automatically lock the doors, adjust the room's thermostat, turn the lights off, or close the garage.

The newest operating system will be compatible with many iPhone models, from iPhone 4s to iPhone5s and from iPad2 to iPad 4th generation, including iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with retina display and iPod touch 5th generation.
