iOS 8 Problems Latest News, Compatible Devices List: Download & Installation Tips

Apple has been plagued with complaints from users who are experiencing problems after downloading the new iOS 8, which was released on Sept. 17.

The new iOS 8 is available for Apple products, such as the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, iPad mini Retina and the fifth-generation iPod touch.

Currently, some Apple users are still busy trying to update their device's software, as a plethora of problems has become apparent.

The storage requirement for downloading iOS 8 is one of the most common complaints, since in order to accommodate the download, users are required to have 5.8 GB storage space left. For some users who have filled their device's storage space, the requirement means getting rid of a lot of files, including pictures, music, and videos.

Although this issue became an inconvenience for some, this problem can actually be solved by downloading the new operating system with the use of iTunes 11.4. Updating the software through this method allows users to have the new operating system without having to delete around 5 GB worth of files.

Other complaints against iOS 8 include the functionality of applications, once the software is downloaded. Some users are complaining about the difficulty of opening and loading the application DropBox, while others are wondering why the much anticipated health application HealthKit is not yet available.

The launching of the HealthKit, which was supposed to be launched with iOS 8, was cancelled since the developers discovered a lot of bugs in the application.

In addition to the complaints regarding the storage space requirements and functionality of applications, some iPhone 4s and iPad 2 users also complained that they are having difficulty updating their gadgets, for different reasons. It is said that the older generation Apple devices might not have the capacity for iOS 8 update, and the only solution for the problem is to check with Apple regarding the compatibility of the device prior to downloading the new operating system.
