iOS 8.0.1 Problems, Security Flaws: New Solutions With iOS 8.0.2 Release
Last week, Apple Inc. released an update that was supposed to fix the problems encountered by several iPhone users when trying to upgrade to iOS 8.
The first update to iOS 8, version 8.0.1, reportedly made the problems with the operating system worse, rather than fixing them.
In fact, the iOS 8.0.1 jumbled up the cellular service of iPhone users as well as created other issues.
Now, Apple has launched iOS 8.0.2, which is fixing connectivity issues as well as HealthKit issues, with a view to prevent any further problems related to either of those departments
Early last week, Apple apologized to its users for the problems and even promised to fix them with their latest update. Apple has provided workarounds to solve the problems for the interim, but the user needs to have a copy of iOS firmware and access to a computer. In fact, 40,000 users downloaded the iOS 8.0.1 prior to its removal.
Now with the release of iOS 8.0.2, Apple aims to fix reachability issues, in addition to fixing a bug to make apps more compatible with the HealthKit. Other fixes are related to problems with connecting to the cellular network, putting the HealthKit back on the App Store, as well as fixing TouchID on the latest models of the iPhone.
In addition, Apple has also resolved the issue with users opening their Photo Library. They have provided further support for "Ask To Buy for Family" via In-App purchases, enhanced their reachability reliability, as well as fixed bugs that prevented users from uploading videos and photos from Safari.
The previous update (iOS 8.0.1) was launched with a view to lessen data usage on text messages, but it caused several other problems after it was downloaded. Hopefully, this latest iOS update will fix the problems, rather than causing some new ones.
