iOS 7 Jailbreak Video: Jailbreak for iOS 7.1.1 Offered in New Video?
Early versions of jailbreaks seem to be ineffective after Apple released the latest iOS 7.1.1 update, according to new reports. However, a video, recently released on YouTube, demonstrates a working jailbreak for iOS 7.1.1 which should help users out.
According to the programmer, the progress on developing the supposed jailbreak has been sluggish as a result of inadequate funding.
In a reference to the donation link, the user said, "For many months now the Jailbreak community had the chance to influence a new public jailbreak by donating to https://isios7jailbrokenyet.com/ - instead they were manipulated by certain people with own financial interests to boycott it. So the JB community is basically responsible themselves that new public jailbreaks are only coming out slowly."
Meanwhile, a recent report says that Cult of Mac noted that two hackers have posted jailbreak videos in May of this year.
Cult of Mac says, "While this all sounds well and good, however, it's possible that we won't see a public version of the iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak in the foreseeable future. That's because WWDC is just around the corner, where Apple is likely to announce iOS 8. Once iOS 8 lands it's likely that attention will be placed on jailbreaking that instead."
The website describes one video saying, "Oh yeah, this is iOS 7.1.1 untethered if you didn't notice earlier. (iPhone 4 GSM though, don't want to mess with any other devices that I have. Would work elsewhere... if you put in the effort."
It is worth mentioning here that Apple unveiled iOS 8 at the WWDC in San Francisco on Monday and it is scheduled for release during fall. However, users who are reluctant to wait that long can download a beta version and start using it right away.
