iOS 7 Jailbreak Release Date for iPhone: New Release By Hacking Team Pangu

An iOS jailbreak has emerged and can now be used on the most recent 7.1.2 update of the iPhone.

Jailbreaking the iOS allows users of Apple products such as the iPhone or the iPad to modify and install apps that aren't originally available on the Apple Store. This has allowed people to download apps for free, instead of purchasing them through the Apple Store app.

The jailbreak was released by Pangu and can be used via Mac and Windows.

"Yesterday's iOS 7 update featured relatively minor tweaks and bug fixes, but one of the more surprising things about it is what it didn't address. It appears that the Pangu jailbreak tool - which can provide an untethered jailbreak using either a Windows or Mac computer - was not on Apple's "to destroy" list for the most recent update, as the software works on iOS 7.1.2 just as it did on 7.1.1," according to a report from Tuaw.com.

The Pangu jailbreak was released a few weeks ago after scores of hackers attempted to crack the iOS 7. Another jailbreaker named Stefan Esser has said that the Chinese hackers have stolen some of his ideas. He has described them as "thieves" and added that the jailbreak contained malware from China.

Another jailbreaker, Evasi0n, also released their own jailbreak version for iOS 7. The Pangu and Evasi0n versions are mostly the same except for the way that Pangu is needed to work.

"One weird thing you need for the jailbreak to work is to adjust your device's internal date in Settings to June 2nd and turn off the "Set Automatically' option. The tool will walk you through the process as you jailbreak," according to the Cult of Mac.
