Facebook launched a new video addition to the popular Instagram app and it is catching on fast. 

The new video feature allows users to record 15 video and post it while still being able to use the popular filters to quick edit the video before you post. 

It is safe to say that the new video addition to Instagram was a hit. There were over 5 million videos uploaded in the first 24 hours of the new features addition. 

This was incredible news for Facebook as they are trying to take away users from Vine, which was created to record 6 second videos. 

Vine was created by Twitter and has millions of users (13 million), but compared to the new Instagram video app, it just doesn't really hold up. 

Instagram has over 130 million users and and the more people get used to the new feature and everyone uploads to the latest version, the video usage is to be sure to keep going up. 

Vine's 13 million users upload around 1 million videos per day.
