Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks Game 5 Recap / Can Carmello and the Knicks Win on the Road in Game 6? / If Pacers Win, First Conference FInals Since 2004

We know the New York Knicks thrive at home. But can they win in Indiana? Last night Carmello and company played like a team in Madison Square Garden and beat the Indiana Pacers 85-75, forcing a game 6 on the road.

'Melo played like the elite player he is last night scoring 28 (12-28 from the field). By charging the basket Anthony was able to draw the Indiana's Paul George and Roy Hibbert into foul trouble. Their fourth quarter absence allowed the Knicks to close the game pretty early. George still managed a solid performance with 23 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Pacers power forward led the team in rebounds with 10, along with 17 points.

Though Pacers coach Frank Vogel claims George Hill's injury shouldn't affect the series' outcome, Raymond Felton seems to think otherwise. Without of Hill's long wingspan guarding the perimeter, Knicks point guard Raymond Felton was able to have a solid game in the second half. In the second and third quarter Felton went 10 for 12, cementing a game 5 victory.

JR Smith finally started to work his way out of two game slump scoring 13. Smith recently assumed blame for the way his team was playing during the series. Isn't that the superstar's job?

The Pacers will go back to Indiana in hopes of reaching the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2004. Carmello has only reached the Conference finals once, when he played for the Denver Nuggets. That was four years ago.

The winner of the Knicks, Pacers series will go on to face the Miami Heat in the 2013 Eastern Conference finals.

Tune in Saturday night at 8/7c on ESPN when the New York Knicks travel to Indiana to keep their playoff hopes alive. Will the Pacers close the series out on their home court?
