Incubus Frontman Brandon Boyd Solo EP 'Sons of the Sea: Compass' Out June 25, Get First Listen Here (VIDEO)

Brandon Boyd, singer of the fantastic rock band, Incubus, is set to release a four song EP titled, Sons of the Sea: Compass, on June 25th.

This is great news for fans, as even though it is not an Incubus record, Boyd is known for having one of the best voices in pop/rock music and new songs with him singing will always be a good thing.

Getting a first listen to "Where All the Songs Come From" there are plenty of melodic guitars, good beats and will be full of pop melodies. Some parts of the song have a classic sound from different eras of music.

(apparently the uploader of the song on Youtube had to speed it up just a bit due to copyright, not sure if this is true or not since I haven't heard it anywhere else yet)

"This is a piece about the moment when you understand that as good or as bad as something seems, it's exactly where you are supposed to be," says Boyd. "If perceived as such, one can have access to a limitless inspiration, a 'place' of sorts that is the wellspring of creativity! Cheesy? Maybe. But fun? Hell yes." (via Rollingstone)

The EP will be released on Avow Records June 25th.
