Immigration Reform News 2014: Jeb Bush Says Border Crisis Should Not Be Obstacle to Immigration Reforms
Jeb Bush who is the brother of once American president George W. Bush and currently serving as the governor of the state of Florida and says that the border crisis should not be used as an excuse to defer immigration reforms.
The issues that have cropped up on the southern border are those that he feels should not be made to blow into larger issues that can prevent successful immigration reforms from taking place anytime soon.
While Central American children are being seen to continuously flout border rules, this he feels should not stand in the way of constructive reform.
These views of Bush have been made clear in an Op-ed published by Wall Street recently, which he has authored along with Clint Bolick. Both have also been insisting upon the immediate repatriation of children who have found their way into the country via the borders in an illegal way.
Bush mentions how Obama has recently spoken about resolving the border issue and making sure that the children who happen cross over from Mexico will be returned to their home with great care and without jeopardizing them in any way.
Bush adds that it is now time for the republicans to take a stand on the issue and stand for a united border rather than a conflict ridden one.
A bill on documenting the migrants has been passed by the democrats of the American senate, however the republicans have not responded in favor to this as of yet. Bush urges that now is the time to do so.
