Iggy Azalea has denied reports that she and ex-boyfriend Maurice Williams were at one point in time, married. Apparently, rumors about this began to spread after Williams' allegedly filed the divorce papers in Texas concerning their marriage.

According to the papers served by rapper Williams, also known as Hefe Wine, they began to live together in Texas when Azalea was only 18. Their living situation was allegedly a common law marriage, as they were living as man and wife. Apparently they've only been living separately since 2013.

Williams said in the documents that she "agreed to be married, holding themselves out as man and wife and began residing together in the State of Texas on or about September, 2008."

Texas has a law that considers a couple to be legally married if they had lived together in the state and if both agreed to tie the knot.

Azalea, however, denied the claims made by Williams, with her legal counsel saying that she had only dated him and they were never married, legally or otherwise.

Her lawyers are also questioning the validity of the filings, stating that Azalea was only 17 at the time of the claims, making her a minor.

According to a source in a report from the Daily News, Williams' filing is "just another attempt to try and get money from Iggy when she was never married to him."

The pop star, whose real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly, mentioned the issue on her Twitter account, posting tweets about the alleged marriage and other claims made by Williams.

Prior to the divorce papers, Azalea had filed a lawsuit against Williams for releasing previously recorded tracks without her consent. Furthermore, the latter made public a sex tape, which was filmed without Azalea's knowledge.

On a side note, Azalea has been dating NBA player Nick Young since the previous year, and rumors suggest that they will be tying the knot soon.
