Ian Somerhalder has recently expressed his desire to settle down at some point in his life. Could things be getting serious in his relationship with "Twilight' actress Nikki Reed?

"The Vampire Diaries' actor made the announcement while promoting the upcoming sixth season of the show at the 2014 Comic-Con in San Diego.

In an interview with E! News, Somerhalder said that although he isn't married, "I will be." to which the actor quickly added, "I mean eventually, in my life! No, I mean eventually."

Somerhalder has been romantically linked to Reed as of late, and the couple has been spotted out and about being affectionate with each other on numerous occasions. Recently, the couple has been seen holding hands and looking very cozy together at the Young Hollywood Awards.

An eyewitness told Hollywoodlife that they were "holding hands backstage and whispering on the couch, they are one hundred percent dating. Nikki stood up to chat with a friend and Ian stood up right behind her. Very "boyfriend' protective like."

Meanwhile, several reports are indicating that Nina Dobrev, Somerhalder's "Vampire Diaries' co-star and ex-girlfriend, is not happy with Reed's relationship with Somerhalder. Reed and Dobrev are known to be good friends. Dobrev feels that the "Twilight' actress violated the "girl code", which means that a true friend should not date her friend's ex-boyfriend.

On the other hand, a source says that Dobrev has no hard feelings for Somerhalder.

"Nina is over him to the point that she doesn't want to date him ever again, but she will always love him. She can't hate him because that would make things weird on the show and would make so many things go into shambles. She knows that she can't be unprofessional," revealed the source to Hollywoodlife.
