While they are currently in a serious relationship, latest reports suggest that Ian Somerhalder of 'The Vampire Diaries' fame has severed all ties to his co-star Nina Dobrev, and leaves fans wondering if he will marry his girlfriend, Nikki Reed.

A report in the Hollywood Life says that the couple is "totally smitten" by one other. The report quotes a source saying that the couple is "definitely falling in love;" however, they are not yet prepared to get married. What's more, the couple is said to be relishing their "amazing relationship" and "can't get enough of each other."

The report further quotes the source disclosing that both Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed know what they want and the way they want their relationship to get going. Unfortunately, it seems that the two do not have any plans to get engaged "anytime soon." At present, they are just enjoying the romance, the source added.

Meanwhile, E! Online reported that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed started dating just few months back and the news of their romance was first leaked when they were seen cozying up at a Farmer's Market in Los Angeles.

Some say Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed have more in common, than Ian and Nina. Both (Ian and Nikki) seem to have a love for adopting animals. Having already adopted a horse in September, they have now increased their family by adopting a homeless kitten. This was revealed by Nikki Reed via an Instagram photo she posted on Oct. 17.

In the meantime, there is speculation that a reunion between Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder keep coming up now and then. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev first met on the sets of 'The Vampire Diaries', wherein they portray the leading characters. Slowly but surely, their characters Damon and Elena became a couple on the show and a couple in real-life. Unfortunately, after dating for three years, they split in 2013.

Rumors that are making the rounds say that things appear to be tense between the former couple. Hollywood Life revealed that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed's romance is "causing a lot of drama" on the sets of 'The Vampire Diaries'. On a side note, the producers of the show reportedly fear that Nina Dobrev might quit the show.
