Hyrule Warriors Wii U Release Date & New Zelda Gameplay Trailer: Two New Characters [VIDEO]
Nintendo's new title Hyrule Warriors takes the Legend of Zelda series for a spin and promises to offer a new style of gameplay from what fans have grown accustomed to. Hyrule Warriors has been announced for a US release on September 26, 2014.
Two new characters have been added to the game since its announcement at this year's E3.
Agitha, stems from the Twilight Princess and can be remembered as the young girl that believes she's the princess of an insect kingdom. It looks like she's able to summon bugs to aid her against vicious enemies, and uses a parasol as her primary weapon.
The second addition, Lana, is a brand new character specifically created for the game and her abilities are powered by a magic book she carries with her.
According to Nintendo Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Scott Moffitt, "Hyrule Warriors will wet people's appetite before the next 'Zelda' game," and, "There's a lot of anticipation for what that will be. And the footage we showed this week was pretty exciting for fans, we were able to show them a little taste of what's coming." he said during E3 earlier this month.
He also mentioned, "I've played 'Hyrule Warriors' and I love the ability to play as Zelda, this new interpretation of classic characters in a new game and the new art style is really fun."
Hyrule Warriors is considered a crossover between The Legend of Zelda series and the Dynasty Warriors series. Hopefully Zelda fans will take the new style as a breath of fresh air from the tradition style of gameplay grown iconic over the last few decades.
