'Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1' Release Date: Non-Speaking Role Auction Gives Winner a Chance to Meet Major Stars
The lot just closed on bidding for the role of an extra on the set of "Mockingjay." If you are a mega-fan of The Hunger Games and Jennifer Lawrence, you may have missed your chance to tour the actual set of the upcoming sequel to the trilogy. The value for a non-speaking role in the film was estimated around $10,000 dollars. A tour of the set for the highest bidder was also being auctioned off at around $5,000. Both were organized in an effort to raise money for charity cancer research, and would have allowed fans to meet some of the major stars of the film.
Meanwhile, under pressure from fans who want total accuracy in the adaptation of book to screen in the upcoming films, Julianne Moore acknowledged that the creators of the Hunger Games finale were putting their full attention to both the details and the major gist of the books to make sure as little as possible was left out.
In an interview with Digital Spy Moore said: "There are some things that have been written that the fans are adamant be there. We're taking that responsibility very seriously."
Julianne Moore plays President Alma Coin who allies with Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, to assist in the rebellion.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay will be split into two parts and will arrive on November 21st, 2014. The final installment will see its release date on November 20th of the following year.
