Considering the major success of the previous film, 'How to Train Your Dragon 2', DreamWorks and Fox may want to ensure that the trilogy ends in the best possible way. Variety reports that 'How to Train Your Dragon 2' garnered $600 million worldwide, making the movie the highest grossing animated film of 2014.

As the producers have now confirmed the release date for 'How to Train Your Dragon 3', fans are eager to know what they can expect from the third movie in the series.

It has already been announced that Hiccup will be returning to lead the Vikings as chief of Berk and Toothless will be there looking for new adventures right alongside. In addition, there will be some evil forces that will be making all efforts to kill the dragons or at least put their lives in danger.

People who are familiar with the book series might have some idea regarding the plot for the third movie. Evidently, reading the stories will bring about a lot of spoilers for the upcoming movie.

'How to Train Your Dragon 3' spoilers in Movie Pilot says that in the third movie, "all dragons will cease to exist". All dragons will either die or "at least, they will disappear," it says. However, the first line in the book read, "There were Dragons when I was a boy."

In the book the adventures are narrated by Hiccup after he has become old. He reflects on his life and also his adventures with Toothless along with the other dragons.

While this certainly does not mean that the evil forces will kill all the dragons, but the likelihood cannot be ruled out. There could be other possible reasons for the "disappearance" of the dragons. They may possibly opt to migrate to some other place.
