'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 Spoilers: New Season to Shed Light on Unexplained Murder Cases
The shocking 'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 1 finale, wherein fans saw the death of Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay), has fueled their curiosity to know the perpetrator as well as her baffling message. Nevertheless, the show needs to solve another murder case - that of Professor Sam Keating (Tom Verica), when it returns for the second season on ABC in September.
IB Times reports that while many have taken it for granted that Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) is responsible for killing Annalise Keating's (Viola Davis) husband, as they have seen him hitting the victim hard on his head with a view to save his lady love, it is very likely that the series will come up with a new twist as Gibbins is the most predicted suspect.
There are two other prime suspects in the murder case and they are Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) and Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil). In fact, Weber's character was rather smart to be able to conceal his association in Lila Stangard's (Megan West) murder case till the investigation ended; Sam was the only one who was aware of the truth.
On the other hand, viewers found Weil's character appeared to be very mysterious right from the beginning of the crime drama. Moreover, she was very upset with the professor. Hence, it is very likely that Winterbottom may have worked together with her colleague to kill Professor Keating.
However, series creator Pete Nowalk has hinted that the first year associates of Annalise are to be blamed for her husband's death. The Hollywood Reporter quoted Nowalk as saying, "Annalise has had a lot of students before work for her. None of them killed her husband. So these people are bonded in ways that past students have not been."
Hence, fans of 'How to Get Away with Murder' will need to will wait patiently until the show returns for Season 2 to know more about the two unexplained murder cases. 'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on ABC on Sept. 24.
