Spoilers for 'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 1, Episode 6 entitled "Freakin' Whack-a-Mole" say that Annalise and Sam will set aside their marital issues in the upcoming episode and the story will focus on Asher (Matt McGorry) instead.

Stepping back to 'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 1, Episode 5, viewers can recall Annalise (Viola Davis) accepting a murder case. However, the drama takes an interesting turn when she discovers a nude photograph of her husband Sam (Tom Verica) on the cell phone of her student Lila Stangard.

Soon after, Annalise confronts her husband regarding the photograph and Sam admits that he is in a relationship with Lila. He confessed that Lila was attending Sam's summer class when she started flirting with him. Not content with this revelation, Annalise pressed Sam to divulge more details about their affair. Eventually, Sam confesses that it happened several times.

During the course of their deep conversation, viewers learned that Sam was married to another woman at the time when he met Annalise for the first time.

As Annalise was still not certain about the involvement of her husband with the murder, she decides to hide Lila's phone from the authorities.

Moving forward into the upcoming episode, an official synopsis from ABC says, "A case gets personal for Annalise and the team when their client is a man from the projects who was sentenced to death by Asher's father several years ago. Meanwhile, Wes is still angry at Annalise for hiding information about Lila's case, so Annalise must convince him to get back in line. In flash-forwards, we find out exactly where Asher was on the night of the murder."

Beyond that, Carter Matt reports that the series has "gotten into its groove" following an erratic first few episodes.

Adding, "And we don't see the Lila case coming close to an end until we get to around the very end of the first season," and "After all, there's really no reason to rush things beyond this, especially when you got so many open threads."

The upcoming episode of 'How to Get Away With Murder' airs on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 10 p.m. on ABC.
