How I Met Your Mother Season 9 spoiler alert!

If you can't wait for the final season of HIMYM to find out what happens to Ted, Barney, Robin, Marshall and Lily then this preview is for you.

First let's recap. At the end of Season 8 the Mother, Ted's future, wife was finally revealed. Cristin Milioti will be a major character in Season 9. Milioti is famous for her role as "Girl" in the uber-popular Broadway play "Once". She's also guest starred hit shows like 30 Rock (Abby Flynn) and The Sopranos (Catherine Sacrimoni).

With the driving force behind the show now on the table, Co-creator Carter Bays is free to tie up all of the inside jokes ("slap bet") and secondary storylines.

According to previous reports, all of How I Met Your Mother Season 9 will take place during the weekend celebration of Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin's (Cobie Smulders) wedding. Like most HIMYM episodes, the Season 9 episodes will break the timeline of events into real-time ("at the wedding") and flashbacks.

"There's a time jump of some sort in every episode of this show, so you can rest assured the premiere will be no different," Bays told Entertainment Weekly. "That being said, this next season in particular will feature some of the most non-linear episodes we've ever done."

Milioti, who plays the "Girl with the Yellow Umbrella" will be a regular cast member during Season 9. Bays revealed that each episode will feature one of Ted's friends meeting the Mother separately. Ted will apparently be the last to meet Milioti, the future "Mrs. Mosby."

Season 9, How I Met Your Mother will be airing on CBS in September 2013.
