How I Met Your Mother Season 9 Spoilers and Rumors: Details Leaked as Ted Closes In on Mother
The series finale of "How I Met Your Mother" is almost here. And it brings with it the conclusion of a 9 season-long cult favorite. But what do fans know about the outcome of the series, and how does main character and future narrator Ted finally meet the titular mother? Some leaked info has recently revealed how the final events of the season might occur.
In a tweeted photo about a month ago, the actor for Ted Mosby, 39 year old Josh Radnor, uploaded the sign of a train platform. This is a possible suggestion that the fated meeting will take place either near or on a train.
Cristin Milioti, a recent cast member of the show, has been referred to as Mother since her first arrival as a guest star. This character is nameless, but we know that she must cross paths with Ted sooner or later.
Recently different clues have led viewers to contemplate some less than joyful possibilities about the final outcome of this series. Several clues have been speculated to point to the idea that we may not see the "mother," living on past the finale of the series.
One can be found in episode 19 of Season 9, where Ted begins to cry after hearing someone say: "What mother is going to miss her daughter's wedding?" Can we draw from this that Ted's wife and the mother of his children isn't going to live to see her own daughter's wedding?
The reliably entertaining Barney Sinson, (Neil Patrick Harris), has said that there are only a few occasions that he won't wear a suit, and a funeral is one of them. We can view this statement in a new light now, as a picture has just leaked showing a scene in which Barney is bereft of his usual ultra-formal attire. Can it be said about this that if it is a funeral, we might be looking at a final episode in which we learn of the death of "the Mother?"
Cobie Smulders, also known as Robin, interviewed with IGN saying the last episode is "very beautiful and very true to life." She also reports having to ask the director to leave the room after reading the final script, indicating that, because of its contents, she was weeping at the time.
The season finale will take place on March 31st on CBS.
