'House of Cards' Rumors: Red Tape Cut, Allows Production to Finally Get Underway
Popular Netflix series, 'House of Cards', is speculated to return for Season 3 in the middle of next year, 2015. The show was originally set to be released sooner, but filming did not start until June 12. The production team was forced to postpone work on the series, as they encountered problems with Maryland state legislation.
On a positive note, series creator Beau Willimon, recently shared some spoilers with fans during a recent Q&A.
Willimon revealed that the Doug Stamper will not survive the brutal attack that took him by surprise at the end of Season 2. This means that police will begin to investigate the murder, which was committed by Rachel Brosnahan, who slammed his head with a rock in the forest. Season 3 will depict the encounters she has and the methods she takes to elude the police and prevent them from solving the case.
Beyond that, some rumors have also emerged about the show. Sources say fans can expect to see 13 chapters in the third season, which makes sense, as the first season had that many episodes.
One of the episodes in the series might take place in the UN Headquarters, but that remains a rumor. Production had a hard time trying to film there, as they became enraveled by all the red tape that came with the attempt.
When news broke about all the problems tied to the show's Season 3 production, fans became concerned that 'House of Cards' had been cancelled. However, it has since been confirmed that viewers can expect to see Season 3 on Netflix, sometime mid-2015.
