'House of Cards' Season 3: Leaked Photo Reveals Filming in Washington DC

An image published by The Washington Post on Monday revealed that the third season of 'House of Cards' began filming in the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington D.C. The photo was from a fan of the show who captured the on-set shooting from across the street.

Netflix has not given confirmation on the filming at the famous concert venue, but the D.C. Office of Motion Picture and Television Development confirmed the political drama took some scenes in there, according to Fashion & Style.

Producers had delays with the initial filming of the Netflix series due to some permission problems with the State of Maryland, where the first two seasons were originally shot.

Fortunately, the issue was addressed on April 25 and the series is filming in Maryland now.

Meanwhile, the writers also claim to have more to tell in the course of the story. Beau Willimon, the 'House of Cards' creator, said that the show is going on the right track and hinted the plot would be going international.

"I am always discovering new things about it, and its rules and dynamics are its own, and so I feel that it's naturally leading to where it needs to go," he said.

The second season ended with Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, finally assuming presidency in the United States. However, the ruthless former vice president will soon deal with his transgressions as the show returns.

In the previous season, Rachel Posner, a prostitute, has killed Kevin's assistant, Doug Stamper. But he is speculated to be still alive in the upcoming season, though the actor has not confirmed any of the rumors about his return.

The third season of the 'House of Cards' is expected to premiere on February 2015, although no official announcement has been made.
