House of Cards Season 3 Release Date, Plot Spoilers: Netflix Premiere Date 2015; Frank Underwood Gets Worse in Next Season

With the resolution of the tax issue between the producers of the "House of Cards" and the state of Maryland, it is now certain that the Netflix series will be renewed for Season 3. However, the release date of the new season is yet to be finalized and it is expected that the "House of Cards" Season 3 Netflix premiere date will be moved to a mid-2015 launch.

Beau Willimon, who developed "House of Cards" - an adaption of the BBC series of the same name, has confirmed that the final script has already been finished by the writing team and filming of a few episodes may begin anytime soon in Baltimore.

Although the first two seasons of the show were filmed in and around Baltimore, recently the producers threatened to film the series elsewhere unless the state of Maryland approved its demand for a raise in tax credits.

Despite strong opposition from some in the House of Delegates, a number of Senators from the state urged authorities to do anything to ensure that the show did not leave Maryland, as the show also brought significant money and jobs into the area.

Meanwhile, with enough time to kill before the Season 3 premiere, fans of the popular Netflix series have already begun to dig for clues into what they can expect next year.

"House of Cards" Season 3 spoilers not only stem from random speculation from fans, but also from what some actors have divulged and leaked in comments to the media.

In effect, Kate Mara herself sparked massive rumors about the show when she recently stated that she would be interested in returning to the Netflix show for Season 3. Mara was a big fan favorite on the show, and viewers were left stunned by her exit early on in Season 2. However, rumors have already suggested that Mara could appear again - although exactly how remains a subject of speculation for the moment.

In an interview to E! Online, Kevin Spacey said that Willimon and producer David Fincher want to see whether the political series can go even dark and, if yes, how dark can they push it.

"We have miles to sleep," Spacey said.

So it seems one thing is certain - "House of Cards" Season 3 will move Spacey's character into an even darker place, and producers have not quite finished shocking fans yet. Some have suggested that Underwood, now as the President, will graduate from the subway tracks and carbon monoxide poisonings, to even more cruel ways of silencing the enemy, and with the extra power can manipulate and wreak more havoc to those who cross him.
