‘House of Cards’ Season 3 Spoilers: Frank Underwood Seeks Purpose for His Presidential Run

After months of delay in production, Netflix's popular political drama, House of Cards is back for its third season which launches in February, 2015.

Producer Beau Willimon did not provide much information about the upcoming installment, but left fans with some driving questions in a recent interview, "What do you you do when you're on top of it? Who are you? You can no longer say, 'I'm the guy trying to reach the summit'," he said to David Carr of the New York Times.

Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, is struggling to find purpose in his political ambition, which he believes will lead him to genuine happiness.

Season 2 depicted Underwood and his successful maneuvering towards the vice president's post, despite ugly criticism and threats to disclose his darkest secrets. Reporter Zoe Barnes threatened to stop at nothing to uncover the truth of his political menace and stop him in his tracks, but that did not end well for her.

Season 3 should provide fans of the show with some seriously close calls for Underwood.

On a side note, only a few scenes are shot in New York, the set has been retained to Maryland after the state government compromised film tax credits in favor of the hundreds of jobs affected by the show.
