House of Cards Season 2 spoilers ahead.

Netflix has a great one-two punch of exclusives with Arrested Development and House of Cards. Arrested Development's 4th season got underway this past May and House of Cards looks to follow suit with their second season soon.

Kate Mara confirmed production rumors of production with a tweet that said:

"To all those asking, we are shooting #HouseOfCards season 2 right now..."

Production has started and they are adding two new cast members for season 2: Jimmi Simpson and Kate Lyn Sheil. TheWrap reports that Simpson is taking a recurring role, but that details on his character are being kept quiet by the producers.

News media site BuzzFeed reported that Kate Lyn Sheil will also be joining the cast for Season 2. He is known for her roles on Somebody Up There and on Sun Don't Shine.

There have been previous reports that confirmed that Deadwood's Molly Parker and Mad Men's Sam Page have also joined season 2. With all these new names, House of Cards looks to be gearing up for a season 2 that was bigger than season 1.
