'House of Cards' Season 2 Spoilers, Interviews, Details, Release Date & More (VIDEO)
"House of Cards" had a wildly successful first season on Netflix and buzz is growing in anticipation for the upcoming Season 2.
Robin Wright, who plays Claire, Francis Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) wife in the show has become very popular through the show and spoke to The Herald about the creative process the show goes through.
"I think part of me was, 'TV? Really?' It's not TV. It's a 13-episode film. That's what it feels like," she said.
"David assured me that I'd be a part of the collaboration in building the character with Kevin and Beau. A lot of times in this business, we are sold a package of goods, but I got exactly what I was sold," Wright explained.
The original series is based off of miniseries from 1990 that held the same name. The show is the work of writer Beau Willimon (Ides of March) and filmmaker David Fincher (The Social Network, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo).
"House of Cards" Season 2 is expected to release early in 2014.
Netflix wanted to space out the releases of their two most popular shows with the new season of "Arrested Development" just releasing recently on Netflix.
Netflix is being ground breaking in the way they are releasing full new seasons at shows at one time, rather than one episode a week. So even though the wait might be long for fans, they can then indulge and watch a full season all at once.
