'House of Cards' Season 2 on Netflix: Jodie Foster, Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright to Direct Episodes in Series' Sophomore Season / 2014 Premiere

House of Cards Season 2 will feature an episode directed by Elysium star Jodie Foster. According to Vulture, Foster is currently in Baltimore where Season 2 production is underway.

This isn't Foster's first directing gig. It's not even his first job behind the camera for Netflix. Along with an episode for House of Cards Season 2, Foster directed an episode last year for breakout Netflix original series Orange is the New Black during the show's first season. Foster appropriately as chosen to direct Episode 3 "Lesbian Request Denied."

Foster's previous directing credits include HBO's Tales from the Darkside in 1998, and longtime friend and collaborator Mel Gibson's 2011 project The Beaver.

Very few details have been confirmed for House of Cards Season 2, even less about Foster's involvement with the show. We know the Emmy-nominated show upgraded cast member Michael Gill's [President Garrett Walker] to a series regular, and Season 1 director David Finch will not be featured in Season 2.

Along with Jodie Foster, House of Cards stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright will both take a stab at directing episodes for the show's sophomore season.
