'House of Cards' Season 2 on Netflix to Begin Shooting in "2 Weeks" According to Constance Zimmer on Twitter

In anticipation of House of Cards Season 2, Former BBC Office star Constance Zimmer recently tweeted:

"We start shooting Season 2 of ?#houseofcards in 2 weeks. "

Constance Zimmer now plays the role of Janine Skorsky on House of Cards, a reporter who becomes suspicious of Kate Mara's character Zoe Barnes' s success. A political drama, House of Cards takes place in Washington D.C. and follows Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, a South Carolina Democrat and House Majority Whip who seeks revenge on the politicians who betray and cause him to lose his potential appointment as Secretary of State.

The series, an adaptation of a popular BBC miniseries based on a novel by Michael Dobbs, is produced by David Fincher and premiered on Netflix February 1, 2013  after the online video streaming service outbid other cable network companies HBO, Showtime, and AMC in hopes of cultivating their own brand of original programming.

Netflix unconventionally chose to upload the entire first season of House of Cards at once, giving viewers the option to view the Season 1's 13 episodes at their own leisure, without having to wait weeks for new episodes to air and the annoyance of disruptive commercial advertising.

It has not yet been disclosed whether or not the entirety of House of Cards Season 2 will also be uploaded simultaneously, but most believe it is safe to assume Netflix will continue this unique method of media release.

How excited are you of Season 2 of House of Cards? Do you think it will match the success of Season 1?
