'House of Cards' News: Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright Emmy Nominated for Roles on Popular Netflix Series

House of Cards is not only a smash for fans of the Netflix series. Its also racking up quite a few awards. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright were both honored with a couple Emmy nominations for their exceptional acting performances in the political thriller.

We all know the actors from House of Cards are great. We've seen them excel in TV and film for the last decade. What makes their work for House of Cards standout is the delivery. These two actors, along with the show are being nominated for a television show that has never been broadcasted on TV.

Still, the show continues to garner more and more viewers.

Many claim House of Cards season 1 is just as watchable as Breaking Bad, or Dexter. Though I've only seen the show a couple times, I can attest to the quality. Don't know if I'd go as far as to say its better than Dexter but the show's principal characters are as complex as they come. Kevin Spacey's Francis Underwood deserves two Emmys for how he maintains his complex ruthlessness but still somehow manages to be heroic in a way.

But credit needs to be partially given to the network. Netflix has soared high in the last couple years, and earned a lot of new subscribers because of it. With the success of House of Cards, they've not only signed the show to another season, but also wrangled in a new season of the new Millennium cult-classic Arrested Development.

Netflix has big fish to fry. And trust me, the food is fresh.
