It has already been confirmed that the critically acclaimed and popular political thriller series 'Homeland' will return for its fourth season on Showtime on October 5 with 12 new episodes.
What's new for Season 4, is that most of the scenes are set in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Islamabad in Pakistan.
Much to the delight of the fans, the main characters of the show, counting Claire Daines (Carrie Mathison), Tracy Letts (Andrew Lockhart), Rupert Friend (Peter Quinn), Mandy Patinkin (Saul Berenson), David Marciano (Virgil), Corey Stoll (Sandy Backman) and many others will be returning for Season 4.
Fans are thrilled to watch the latest footage released by the producers of 'Homeland' on YouTube as it offers them a glimpse of what the new season will be. The trailer reveals that Carrie, who has been newly appointed as the Station Chief in Afghanistan, is back for another mission following a mis-strike by a missile that kills a group of civilians instead.
Now a question remains, which intelligence department employee wrongly tipped the U.S. forces, saying that the terrorist leader was there?
Some other videos posted on YouTube show the 35-year-old actor talking about what Carrie Mathison will be facing in the forthcoming season. Claire also revealed that her character ought to come to terms with the loss of Nicholas Brody in the previous season of the show.
Claire said, "That's her arc." In fact, her character Carrie was pregnant with Brody's child at the time.
She further revealed that following this tragic incident, Carrie will find herself extremely functioning as far as her job is concerned, especially in overseeing drone attacks where she is practically "all work, all the time." Perhaps by doing so, Carrie is trying to deal with her loss.
