'Homeland' Season 4, the political television thriller, is slated for an Oct. 5 premiere on Showtime at 9/8c. As the last three seasons of the show were majorly successful, fans are expecting a lot from the new installment.

Spoilers reveal that Season 3's storyline will focus on international missions in Pakistan, Afghanistan and other countries in the Middle East.

Recently, Showtime released a new teaser featuring the voice of Saul Berenson, who is talking about the war against terror. His voice is full of pain as he says, "It hasn't been a 14-year war we've been waging, but a one-year war, waged 14 times."

The Season 4 trailer fuses some scenes of the upcoming installment with traces of realistic drama. This is evident in the video when Carrie tries to explain herself to her sister Maggie. Fans can expect to see more scenes like this when 'Homeland' Season 4, will an all new dramatic spin.

In fact, speculation hints that there will be more deaths and pain coming everyone's way. Carrie will be leaving her baby with her family when she travels to the Middle East for some dangerous missions. Also, spoilers say that later on in Season 4, Carrie will open up to Quinn emotionally.

Beyond that, sources say Carrie's mental status will improve, but she'll still have some problems in that department. Fans should keep in mind that since Carrie will be away from her family, she will be noticeably strained physically and emotionally throughout Season 4.

On a side note, fans were speculating that Jessica Brody would return to the show for the upcoming installment, but that's not the case. Producers have recently confirmed that actress Morena Baccarin will not be returning for 'Homeland' Season 4.
