'Holy Ghost' Movie Boldly Approaches People and World Religions as it Encourages People to Have a Tangible Relationship with the Holy Spirit (MOVIE REVIEW)
BreatheCast caught the prescreening of Darren Wilson's newest film 'Holy Ghost' over the weekend, and without giving away the entire film, this report will let you know what to expect from the compelling documentary.
Wilson kicked off the film with a video message asking viewers to help spread the word about the movie. Wilson set his goal at one million people tuning in and watching for the Worldwide Premiere September 6th.
The documentary begins with quotes from people such as Lenny Kravitz, Bill Johnson, Brian "Head' Welch and others talking about their perception of the Holy Spirit. It also kicks off with the scriptures found in Genesis on the triune God.
"It's the spirit that convicts us, speaks to us, move us, ...?There's nothing more for filling then having that one on one personal relationship with the spirit," Kravitz said.
"The Holy Spirit is real and I'm going to prove it," Wilson stated as he narrated and showcased the photos of his journey around the world.
Wilson and his team's first stop was in Salt Lake City, in what he called, "Mormon country." They met a 21-year-old young man that said spirits have haunted him ever since he and some friends slept in a graveyard. Prophetic minster Jamie Galloway then prayed for the young man and he said he felt the Holy Spirit.
Galloway and Will Hart went around praying for people in the city, laying hands, and asking the Holy Spirit to touch people, many testified that they felt tingling and the presence of God, and others claimed they were healed.
While in Utah, Wilson encountered a Christian man who was on the corner preaching that he's a sensationalist. Various guest preachers including R.T. Kendall, then explained that sensationalists believe the Holy Spirit left with the apostles stating we don't need signs and wonders because we now have the Bible.
Wilson then found himself in Monaco with radical evangelist Todd White. Wilson explained that he believed it was solely to lead one woman to God, but during their trip a man got help and another woman accepted Jesus.
After documenting their time in Monaco, the film showed BreatheCast's favorite part of the film with lead guitarist Welch, and bass player Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu of the band Korn. The two shared about their conversions and then they filmed Welch, and Feildy along with White praying for dozens of people before a Korn concert. Believers and non-believers dressed in all types of demonic apparel were prayed for, healed and gave their lives to Jesus all by the power of the Holy Spirit.

After those powerful conversions, the Holy Spirit led Wilson and a new team including musician Jake Hamilton into India with no plan at all. They were immediately told any talk of Jesus would get them killed. Still Hamilton worshiped throughout the streets and people were led to them and some were led to Christ. The group traveled with a radical Hindu priest to lessen their chances of being killed while they worked uncover to give people in India the opportunity to have an encounter with God.
They were met with some opposition while they worshiped Jesus before hundreds in a Buddhist temple, but escaped safely. Because they traveled with the high priest of Hinduism, Wilson, Hamilton and others were granted full access to the highest temple in India, Shiva which is considered the supreme god within Hinduism.
While standing by the Ganges river worshiping Jesus, the Hindu priest even started worshiping along with Hamilton as he shouted "freedom."
The film overall was very inspirational and can help encourage believers to be bold and desire a tangible relationship with the Holy Spirit. The movie portrayed the Holy Ghost as an unbiased protector which reaches anyone, from atheists, to Buddhists, to Hindus all alike. The film featured supporting scriptures throughout the entire experience and ended with a chilling clip of evangelist Todd shouting "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" through a Roman mob.
'Holy Ghost' features a wide variety of voices and opinions from people such as: Michael W. Smith, William P. Young, Robby Dawkins, Jeremy Riddle, Banning Liebscher & Jesus Culture, Meredith Andrews, Shawn Bolz, Lee Grady, DeVon Franklin, Heidi Baker, and many others.
?Wanderlust Productions will be traveling to 15 cities across the US and hosting massive concert/massive movie events with Jake Hamilton & the Sound. The team is expecting God to show up to allow audiences to experience God for themselves.
