Henry Cavill Girlfriend News: Gina Carano’s UFC Comeback ‘Stalled’; Rousey-Carano Will Be Biggest Bout in History?
Gina Carano has been out of MMA professional practice for five years, but this does not stop rumors linking her to a supposed comeback to a UFC arena. Ariel Helwani of SB Nation reported that negotiations seemed stalled and that the "In the Blood" agreement is not happening anytime soon.
Renowned fighter Ronda Rousey expressed her interest in the possibility of facing Henry Cavill's girlfriend in the ring on what Yahoo Sports tagged as the "biggest-money fight the UFC can put on any time soon."
Rousey, 27, shared her fondest memories concerning Carano, she said, "Not only did I admire what [Carano] was doing, but also I was blown away by the reaction all the guys were giving them, and, I just remember sitting there and thinking, 'I could totally beat both of these chicks.' Whether she ever wants to fight again or not is entirely up to her. But, ever since that day when I had that first taste of women's MMA, she's the fight I wanted."
UFC President Dana White clarified that the delay on Carano's contract is not due to personal issues, but the lengthy legal process with Wrestling Inc, "I like Gina Carano a lot and she's a great person. I just have a hard time dealing with some of these Hollywood attorneys. We'll see how that goes," White stated.
Though it is safe for fans to think that Carano is not going back to fighting anytime soon, however, multiple-time Jiu-Jitsu champion Laercio Fernandes, told the media that the female sportsman is back in training.
"She's doing great. She trains well, but she has a lot of things to do, like interviews and movies. I always tell her 'no pressure, do what you want to do. When you feel in your heart, you'll know if you want to fight or not'. She has a big heart," Fernandes said on the MMA Fighting website.
