After losing to the the lowly Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, The 2-time defending NBA Champion Miami Heat look to bounce back from that upset loss tonight versus the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Heat lost to Celtics by the final score of 101-96 because the Celtics rallied from a 14 point deficit to stun the Heat two nights ago.
The Heat are trailing the Eastern Conference leading Indiana Pacers by 3 games in the standings. The Heat expected their superstar player Lebron James to play tonight after he missed the game against the Celtics on Wednesday night because of an injury.
"(His back) was sore in the walkthrough today, but he was able to go through it so I didn't think much of it," said Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra to reporters on Wednesday.
"It just didn't get better by game-time so it was a pretty easy decision on our part. We'll see how he feels when we get back to Miami."
The Grizzles are also having a very good season this year. Memphis is currently ranked in 7th place in the Western Conference standings. The Grizzles are in a tough playoff race with the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns with both teams currently trailing Memphis in the standings. The Grizzles defeated Utah Jazz by the final score of 98-88 on Wednesday night.
