Fun fact: Home teams are 89-23 in NBA Finals Game 7s.
What did we learn from Game 5 of the series? We learned the same thing in Game 4 about Dwayne Wade. Manu Ginobili is a big time player. In his first start of the 2013 NBA Finals, came up big for the Spurs in Game 5. Another big move from Spurs coach Gregg Popvich was putting Boris Diaw on LeBron James, who only went 1-8 when guarded by Diaw.
As for the Heat, Norris Cole may not even play the rest of the series after the way he was dismantled by Spurs point guard Tony Parker. When it's all said and done will role players like Mario Chalmers and Danny Green decide the outcome of the series. A series with the best player in the league [LeBron James] on one side and one of the best big men to ever play the game [Tim Duncan] is decided by a player like Green who was cut from the Spurs twice before going on historical Finals shooting run?
One thing is for sure, the San Antonio Spurs don't want a Game 7 in Miami. As wise as they are, they need to give everything they got to close the 2013 NBA Finals out in Game 6.
Tune in to see if the Miami Heat and Lebron James can force a Game 7 in the 2013 NBA Finals tonight at 9 PM ET on ABC.
