‘Hannibal’ Season 3 Release Date, Spoilers: Jodi Foster To Direct?
'Hannibal', the TV adaptation of the 1981 Thomas Harris thriller novel, 'Red Dragon', is set to premiere its Season 3 early in 2015. In a recent post on Twitter by 'Hannibal' showrunner Bryan Fuller, he revealed his recently developed bond with Clarice Starling herself, Jodi Foster, at the recent HBO Emmy event.
According to reports, Foster, who played the role of Starling in the 1991 blockbuster film 'The Silence of the Lambs', has been overheard by an E! News source discussing potential involvement in the NBC TV series with Fuller. The latter has reportedly been trying to get Foster to direct for 'Hannibal' Season 3, which the actress might be considering as she has just recently accomplished several directorial jobs on television, including two episodes for the Netflix hit 'Orange is the New Black', and one episode for the highly rated 'House of Cards', also from Netflix.
Meanwhile, 'Hannibal' Season 3 is expected to premiere about eight months from the previous season's finale. A dramatic turn of events has been witnessed during the final episode of the second season, wherein a bloodbath has occurred in Hannibal's residence.
The first 3 episodes in the third season, however, will not immediately pick up where Season 2 left off, as they will be focused on Hannibal's relationship with Bedelia, while the fourth episode is expected to reveal the fate of the characters Alana, Abigail, Jack and Will.
Mads Mikkelsen stars in the 'Hannibal' TV series as Dr. Hannibal Lecter together with Caroline Dhavernas (Dr. Alana Bloom), Laurence Fishburne (Jack Crawford), Hugh Dancy (Will Graham), and Kacey Rohl (Abigail Hobbs).
