Hannah Graham, Missing University of Virginia Student Latest News: Suspect In Case Arrested

A heart-wrenching incident recently occurred in Texas when a felon abducted a young student named Hannah Graham. Her abduction was considered a grave tragedy as thousands of university students became outraged when they heard the news.

Her immensely worried parents filed a complaint after learning of her abduction, demanding her safe return immediately. Her father John Graham had this to say to reporters, "This is every parent's worst nightmare. We need to find out what happened to Hannah and make sure it happens to no one else."

Despite numerous efforts, the investigators are still unable to find Hannah. After the unsuccessful attempt in searching for her, they decided to expand their search to rural areas outside the Virginia College town of 40,000 people. According to Chief Timothy Longo, the Virginia State Police and the FBI have now joined local officers in the search for Hannah Graham.

The prime suspect in this case is Jesse Leroy Matthew Jr. who works as a nursing assistant at the university's hospital, UVA. He was seen with Hannah on CCTV footage walking with his arm around her outside a mall at the time of her unexpected disappearance. The police believed that poor Hannah was intoxicated and later sexually assaulted by her kidnapper before being abducted her while she was on her way to an off-campus party early in the morning.

According to a police report, a warrant was issued for his arrest despite having insufficient evidence against him at this stage in the case.

At first Matthew turned himself into the police voluntarily, but later left the station allegedly saying he wanted a lawyer present for any interrogation.

As it stands, authorities are afraid that the suspect might flee the country in order to avoid any charges. "We seem to be the end of the road," said Galveston County Sheriff Henry Trochesset, "For us, it's not strange that someone like that would be arrested here," reports the Washington Post.
