'Halo 5: Guardians' Release Date for XBox One: Top Things to Expect in Fall 2015

PC gamers are excited to learn that rumors have been spreading about the release of Halo 5: Guardians for their home computers. The game is already set to release in the Fall of 2015, but only on the Xbox One.

That is not the only good news for Halo fans as the general manager for 343 Industries, Bonnie Ross, announced that enthusiasts should expect Halo 5 to blow their minds with its new features.

Jobs N Hire said in its report that, Halo 5: Guardians is a "bigger effort than Halo 4," in terms of its content and scope of the game. It also promised top of the line technology using a "brand new and powerful engine."

"Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we've invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One's hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen," Ross, the general manager for 343 Industries to Jobs N Hire.

In a separate interview with Eurogamer, Ross hinted that Halo 5 will feature two characters, the main character, Master Chief, and a Spartan character, Agent Locke.

An image of Agent Lock was featured in a recent 343 Industries release for Halo 5: Guardians, which Ross said will give fans a sneak peek before the release, noting fans will "have an idea of the background of the character," when they got hold of the newest version. Agent Locke is reflection of Master Chief himself, mentioned Eurogamer.

Meanwhile, Master Chief has remained the star for Halo 5: Guardians, reiterated Ross, emphasizing that the next Halo series is a "continuation of Master Chief's story." He pointed out that Agent Locke's prominence in Halo 5 will not affect Master Chief's lead role in the series.

"He is human, he's always been human, but at the end of Halo 4 he really is reflecting on who he is and why he exists," Ross was quoted by Eurogamer, "That was very deliberate because the story we want to tell on Xbox One really is an important part and the main part of his hero's journey. It's more about what he's searching for versus what the UNSC is asking him to do."

Ross announced that the first episode of Halo 5: Guardians will be released in the Fall of 2015.

He said, "I'm happy to reveal that Halo 5: Guardians, the next installment in the legendary saga of the Master Chief, will launch on Xbox One in Fall of 2015. In the tradition of every "Halo" game since its debut in 2001, it is a massive and exciting project."

Ross said that this is an "opportunity to invite old friends and new audiences into that universe through the "Halo" television series, launched as a unique collaboration with Steven Spielberg and some of the finest creative minds in the business. A series that will stand alone, as well as complement and enrich the game experience."
