‘Halo 5 Guardians’ Release Date: Beta Testing Out December 2015; Game to Include 2 New Characters [VIDEO]

With the success of the 'Halo' franchise over the years, avid fans of this Microsoft game are definitely rooting for another addition. During the Electronic Entertainment Expo held last June, 343 Industries, developer of 'Halo 5 Guardians', teased that the company is up to much bigger things following its release in 2016.

Bonnie Ross, General Manager at 343 Industries, announced that a beta test version for 'Halo 5 Guardians' will be out on December 29, 2015, which will run for a 3-week evaluation. A new trailer unveiled at E3 2014 confirmed a brand new storyline and a possibility two new unique characters that will join the story.

Based on recent rumors, 'Halo 5 Guardians' will be adapting the 'Halo 2' character Arbiter. The character was first introduced in the trailer with Agent Locke discussing Master Chief. The Fuse Joplin similarly reported an additional Spartan gameplay character that most likely resembles that of Sarah Palmer's role.

"Although, it is still a secret, but fans are speculating the entry of a Spartan character, having a blue visor. This character was in the prequel in 'Halo 4' in form of Sarah Palmer," the website reads.

For fans that will be availing the beta version, Microsoft offers $59.99 with a complimentary gift of $10 worth of Xbox gift card in time for the full game release. The company is also hosting a rewards program for gamers who will watch Halo Channel online, Gameranx reported.
