'Halo 2: Anniversary' Forge Mode Update: 'Master Chief Collection' Changes For Xbox One Unveiled
Microsoft Studios has reportedly unveiled Forge mode for 'Halo 2: Anniversary' for 'Master Chief Collection' for Xbox One. The new game is a remastered version of 'Halo 2' which offers fans a glimpse into the franchise's latest feature.
A recent report by Inquisitr says that the game developers have provided some details on the Forge mode at a Panel at PAX Prime that was streamed on Twitch.tv on Aug. 30.
The new feature, which was not present in the original 'Halo 2' game, is apparently similar to the Forge mode in 'Halo 4'. Nevertheless, the new feature comes with a number of improvements compared to the fourth installment of the game.
It seems that the developers have granted the fans' demand for an empty box only containing a skybox. The latest mode has eventually introduced three Skybox Only maps, which was revealed during the panel. It is assumed that this will enable Xbox One players to generate a map of their choice, developing it from the ground.
The developers have also added additional Natural and Terrain building options in the new game, which were requested by Xbox One players. Nevertheless, precise details regarding these selections have yet to be revealed. They were not discussed during the panel either.
The unveiling of Forge mode in 'Halo 2 Anniversary' has reportedly allowed Xbox One players access to focus on the game as Monitors. In fact, the developers also brought back the Precision Editing tool to 'Halo 2: Anniversary', which was originally introduced in 'Halo: Reach'.
Inquisitr adds that 343 Industries decided to change the Forge budget feature with a universal object count and a performance meter. This is somewhat interesting and the latter will apparently allow players to keep an eye on their maps. Builders will now make out the manner in which the maps will run and know whether the maps encounter any "frame rate drops." It is being said that this feature will bring further insight into the map creation concept, which ultimately comes at a price.
