'Guitar Hero Live' New Songs News: First 10 Tracks Revealed on Game’s Official Facebook Page
Video game publisher Activison has revealed the first 10 songs that it will launch with the release of the musical game 'Guitar Hero Live.'
Kdramastars reports that when Jon Napier, FreeStyleGames' director (Projects), had remarked that 'Guitar Hero Live' would offer something to everyone, he was certainly not joking. Recently, a screenshot posted by Activision on the Facebook page of 'Guitar Hero Live' revealed the list of ten songs that will be released with the game.
From the list it certainly appears that indie and hard rock songs have been favored, but GameRant says that the musical game will have all kinds of music to satisfy the taste of different players, including genres like blues, folk or Norwegian pop.
The songs revealed in the list are as follows:
American Authors - "Best Day of My Life"
Alter Bridge - "Cry of Achilles"
Band of Skulls - "Asleep at the Wheel"
Ed Sheeran - "Sing"
Biffy Clyro - "Sounds Like Balloons"
Blitz Kids - "Sometimes"
Jake Bugg - "What Doesn't Kill You"
Gary Clark Jr - "Don't Owe You a Thang"
Of Monsters and Men - "Little Talks"
The War on Drugs - "Under the Pressure"
According to the post on Facebook, these are only ten of hundreds of songs that fans of the game can expect when 'Guitar Hero Live' is released this fall. It appears that, the total number of songs have been split between the main campaign of game and its online mode - 'Guitar Hero TV.'
Incidentally, all the songs in the list are remarkably new, and Gary Clark Jr.'s "Don't Owe You a Thang," which was released in 2010, is the oldest among them. This is seen as a major deviation from the original 'Guitar Hero,' which was released a decade back with a track list comprising almost completely of older metal hits and classic rock standbys.
GameRant noted that though it is really difficult to envisage a 'Guitar Hero' game without some older music, the message that Activision want to impart here is loud and clear: 'Guitar Hero Live' doesn't draw from the past.
'Guitar Hero Live' will release late this year for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
