Gucci Mane Indicted Again on Loaded Weapon Charges: Twitter Sensation Rapper Could Face 20 Years in Prison [VIDEO]
The federal government has indicted rapper Gucci Mane after his second arrest for possession of a loaded firearm by a felon in Atlanta. Gucci Mane, born Radric Davis, has had several run ins with law enforcement over the past 5 years, but this time he could serve up to 20 years in a federal prison and be forced to pay up to $500,000 in fines.
On September 12, 2013 Davis was apprehended by police officers in Atlanta for having possession of a loaded handgun. Two days later, he was arrested again but with a different loaded handgun. Each time he was arrested, he shouted threats at people and behaved erratically.
The first federal court hearing is scheduled for January, 2014, and it is unclear whether he will transferred into federal custody or will remain in the state of Georgia.
So far in 2013, Davis has been charged with striking a man in the face with a champagne bottle in an Atlanta nightclub and shoving a woman out of moving car. 5 years ago, he was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon while carrying over 20 grams of marijuana.
Gucci Mane's popular Twitter account has almost 2 million followers.
