Gucci Mane Dead? Death Hoax Rumors Circulate About Rapper

Gucci Mane is reported dead due to excessive syrup intake, says satire website Cream BMP Daily. The website's hoax about the rapper's death quickly spread over social media sites, where fans tweeted #ripguccimane.

The fake report detailed that Mane, real name Radric Davis, was found dead in his cell at Fulton County Jail in Atlanta at 11 in the morning.

Other details of the article read: "It's definitely due to his syrup addiction, and I ain't talking about Aunt Jemima," according to a statement referring to a fictional prison doctor.

"Why else would you get an ice cream tattooed on your face?  Drugs," it continued.

Cream BMP Daily is a satire website that publishes articles that are not necessarily true or considered products of imagination. "It's not news. It's entertainment. All other comments are my personal opinion, but try not to take the [expletive] seriously and come at me," the website disclaimer says.

In May, Gucci pleaded guilty to two counts of illegal possession of firearms charges. He is currently serving a maximum of 20 years and is expected to be released on December 2016.

Despite his condition, the 34-year-old American rapper is working on a new collaboration with Migos, Yung Thug, and PeeWee Longway titled World War 3D.

Mane's career debuted in 2005 with his first single Trap House, followed by Hard to Kill in 2006.  The Atlanta-born rapper also worked on The State vs. Radric Davis (2009) and The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted (2010), his highest-rated album thus far.

World War 3D is set to release on June 17, 2014.
