'GTA V Online' "Veteran Update" Screenshot Confirmed Fake

While the "Heists" update is still being worked on by Rockstar Games, a screenshot of a supposed "Veteran Update" has been circulating around the web and has caught the attention of Youtuber DomisLive.

DomisLive posted a video about the fake screenshot and has given commentary about it. The caption on the fake update reads, "Show you inner military personality and express yourself in new ways with the Veteran Update coming this July."

It had potential to pass for an official update, but the inclusion of some unlikely content has led to the conclusion that the update is false. Also, Rockstar has not officially announced any update regarding any 'GTA V Online' DLC.

"This new content update contains two new, but reclaimed vehicles; the APC tank and the Hunter attack chopper. It doesn't end there, blast your enemies with the new F12AL Rifle and M225 LMG, both available from Ammu-Nation stores," the description continues.

Probably the most farfetched of all the alleged content, as DomisLive pointed out, was the ability to dual-wield some weapons when that particular weapon's skill level reaches "Hitman" level. Although the feature is seen in a previous GTA game, 'GTA: San Andreas', it is still unknown whether or not this will ever be implemented into 'GTA V'.

On that note, Rockstar has announced, via its Newswire feed, about "Throwback Jobs" which are inspired from previous GTA titles.

"This week, we've rounded up a selection of Jobs created specifically in tribute to classic Grand Theft Auto missions from GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV. There's also a couple of Jobs themed around Chinatown Wars, set in a Los Santos slice of the Far East around Textile City," the company announced.

As it stands, the long awaited "Heists" update has not yet been released.
