GTA 5 PC Release Date: Latest News Indicates June 13 Launch - PS4 and Xbox One Versions Expected
Rumors surrounding Grand Theft Auto 5 PC's release date have proved false on Friday as the date came and went in silence.
However, hot on the heels of that disappointment are new rumors about a possible June 13 launch date. The delay will disappoint fans, and it must be clarified - Rockstar Games has not released any official information regarding the release date at all.
According to the Latin Post, the new rumor surfaced touting a possible game launch on Jun. 13. Last week a public statement was made by Elgiganten, a Nordic elictrical retailer, that they would be taking pre-orders for the long-awaited PC version beginning Jan. 31. However, Elgiganten did not start taking pre-orders on the 31st.
"We regret to inform you that our planned pre-sale of GTA V for PC must be postponed," Elgiganten released in an interview with IncGamers. "We apologize for this but promise to come back as soon as we have confirmed a release date. Have a nice weekend."
Czech retailer SuperGamer has offered a new glimmer of hope for an upcoming release date. This time the game will be offered for PS4 and Xbox One platforms as well as PC, according to their website. It is also rumored to be out on Friday, Jun. 13.
As recently as the September 2013 release date, Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar Games had ruled out the possibility of releasing next-gen versions of the game, but according to gamerant.com, various sources online have made it seem plausible that there has been a change of heart.
SuperGamer will be the object of notoriety if they were to post an illegitimate listing on their site. Is this another phony claim or will gamers really see a PC compatible and next generation version Of GTA V coming this spring?
